Win Your First Election is a limited series podcast created for first-time Democratic candidates in the United States who want to run smart campaigns, communicate clearly, and beat Republican opponents in real elections.
Hosted by TJ Walker and Bob Berkowitz, this series combines real-world campaign strategy with practical media training, public speaking, sound bites, debates, fundraising, volunteer messaging, and voter persuasion. Bob Berkowitz, a top Democratic Party media consultant and former White House correspondent for CNN, brings the campaign playbook. TJ Walker brings decades of expertise in communication, public speaking, media coaching, and message discipline.
This is not a neutral politics podcast. It is an unapologetically partisan, practical guide for Democrats who want to win public office for the first time. Each episode is designed to help candidates define themselves before Republicans define them, stay on message, handle hostile questions, communicate Democratic values in plain English, and build a campaign that can actually win.
If you are running for city council, school board, county office, state legislature, Congress, or any other public office as a Democrat, this series will help you avoid common mistakes and sharpen the communication skills that decide elections.
